2D Update Instructions

This page contains instructions on how to update your 2D DESIGNER V2004 or V2008 software.

The executable files (.exe) and zip files (.zip) on the 2D Updates page contain the latest program updates, improvements, and bug fixes. They should only be used with the correct corresponding version (for example, the 2D DESIGNER V2004 STANDARD updates will not work with 2D DESIGNER V2004 PROFESSIONAL).  We recommend installing these updates.

The .exe and .zip files are exactly the same, there is no need to download both. The zip file contains .exe file within it. Some corporate environments prevent the downloading of .exe files, this is why we have provided a .zip version as well. If you are able to download .exe files, then just download the .exe file.

Important Note: The patches on the update page are cumulative starting in January 2006. If you have not updated your software since before this date, please contact PROCAD Support.  

Instructions

1. Close down all 2D DESIGNER V2004 or V2008 applications
2. Download the zip or exe file to any location on your computer
3. For the .exe file: double click .exe to automatically unzip and install updates on the computer
4. For the .zip file: unzip the downloaded file using WinZip, or the extraction program of your choice. Run Setup.exe to install updates
5. The updates can be run on any V2004 or V2008 installation that has been updated since January 1, 2006
